ZHAO Lingyun

Dr. Lingyun Zhao, an associate professor at the school of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) in Tsinghua University. Zhao received her BS and Ms Degrees in Chemical Engineering from Tianjin University in 1995 and 1997, respectively. She obtained her PhD degree in Chemical and Biomelecular Engineering from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2004 under the supervision of Prof Feng Si-Shen (Associate editor of Biomaterials, Nanomedicine). She completed her postdoctoral training in the Chemotherapeutic Lab in NUS and then joined Tsinghua University in 2007, firstly in the Institute of Medical Physics and Engineering in the Department of Engineering Physics and then transferred to MSE in July 2014. Her major research interests include cancer nanotechnology, drug delivery, hybrid biomaterials for cancer multimodality treatment and theranostics, ect. She has authored over 100 publications, including peer-reviewed journal papers, book chapters and authored books. She was enlisted by the Elsevier as the “Most Cited Chinese Researcher” (in the division of Biomedical Engineering) from 2014 to 2021.
