报告简介:

With the increasing amount of research being conducted and published, researchers are seeking new ways to efficiently and effectively manage the publication process. Artificial intelligence (AI) tools, such as DeepSeek or ChatGPT, have emerged as potential solutions for improving the quality and productivity of scientific publication. In this presentation, we will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of using AI tools for scientific publication, including their ability to assist in literature review, summarization, and language editing. We will also explore the question of authorship, specifically whether an AI can be considered an author of a scientific paper. Through examples and case studies, we will provide insights into the current state of AI-assisted scientific publication and discuss the implications for the future of scientific research and communication.


报告人简介:

Henrik Rudolph (Frederiksberg, Denmark 1958) received a Ba in Chemistry and a MSc in Physics from the University of Copenhagen and subsequently obtained a PhD from California Institute of Technology (USA). In 1990 he joined Utrecht University (the Netherlands) as an associate professor of physics and in 2001 he became full professor in atomic and molecular physics. Since 2012 he is employed by the Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands and is now emeritus professor. His research interests include plasma surface interactions, functionalization of surfaces as well as detailed chemical reactions at surfaces.
